Rocky River Senior Center

Our Mission

The mission of the Rocky River Senior Center is to positively impact our community by creating opportunities for healthy aging through social engagement, physical well-being, civic involvement and lifelong learning.

There is no membership fee to join us - we welcome residents and non-residents. Simply register by coming to the Front Desk and asking for a Welcome Folder which includes a complimentary copy of The Quill, our monthly newsletter.

The newsletter is also posted online, so you can read about all our programs, classes, and activities. Scroll down and click on button The Quill - current issue is posted by the first of the month.

A licensed social worker (click here for details) is available to senior residents who are in need of services and/or information. Transportation service (click for details) operates weekdays between 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM for medical appointments, local shopping and personal errands for seniors who are unable to drive (sometimes temporarily). A wheelchair lift van is also available.

The Center offers a variety of services and activities including one day and overnight tours, deli luncheons, activities, programs, and special events featuring prominent speakers, entertainers and musicians. A wide range of classes offered include art, drama, history, language, exercise & fitness, dance, wellness, travel, literary, movies, music and technology. Our health clinic provides blood pressure screenings every Monday morning, an emergency food pantry, and monthly hearing screenings as resources.

  • Rocky River Senior Center is proud to announce that our center has been approved by the National Council on Aging in achieving National Accreditation! This is the 2nd time that our Center has been recognized nationally. Rocky River Senior Center is 1 of 100 Senior Centers in the country to earn this prestigious award. Hats off to Director Deb Huff and her awesome team to achieve this honor. A big thank you to Seniors Council and volunteers who helped to make this happen.
