SWAT & Mobile Field Force

The Rocky River Police Department is a member of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau which consists of the cities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted, Rocky River, and Westlake. 

The primary duties of the WEB SWAT team include dealing with:

• Barricaded persons

• Hostage rescue

• Crowd control

• High risk operations involving surveillance, buy-bust, protection details, and open air containment and search.

The SWAT team consists of thirty-two police officers and four medics from member agencies.
